Our AGM took place last Saturday evening in the unique surrounds of Zoom.

Those present reflected on a surreal year both on and off the pitch where the passion, commitment and drive of those involved with the club came to the fore in the face of a constantly evolving situation.

Some very brief highlights include off the field club members and friends hitting the highways, byways and slopes of South Tipperary during the spring lockdown for our 5k Challenge which proved to be a great morale boost for all involved as well as raising some much needed funds for two local causes.

When play did resume in late June, we were indebted to the work of our Covid Supervisors who were invaluable in helping do this in a safe and organised manner, as well as to our many coaches and mentors who showed great ingenuity in devising sessions under the new parameters.

At senior level results were mixed but ultimately not progressing in the county series was disappointing, with a win against Sean Treacys ensuring our senior status for 2021. The minor south title win was undoubtedly a highlight for the club this year, defeating carrick Swan in a hard fought south final in Fethard, whilst our other underage teams performed with great credit, with a special mention to our u12A team who contested the county final.

On Saturday evening tribute was paid to outgoing Juvenile Chairperson Brendan Cagney who has been key to the development of the club over recent years and has worked tirelessly on many different intitiatives and structures. Brendan is now succeeded by Shane O'Neill who will bring fresh enthusiasm and ideas to the role.

Andy Griffin's role on the juvenile side and in being instrumental in leading the club facilities maintenance and adaptation for all things Covid was also noted for specific praise on the night.

Importantly also the generous donations of our sponsors was noted in what is a trying time for many businesses we are very grateful to this continued support and urge all members to shop local this Christmas.

Finally, apart from Shane O'Neill taking on the role of Juvenile Chair the top table remains largely the same with Ger Deeley elected as chairperson, David O'Donnell as treasurer and Brian Moynihan as secretary.
