St. Mary’s Hurling & Camogie Club delighted to participate in GAA’s Healthy Club Project
St. Mary’s Hurling & Camogie Club, Clonmel, has been selected to participate in the 2024/2025 GAA Healthy club project. The Irish Life GAA Healthy Club Programme is the GAA’s flagship programme to promote health and wellbeing in Ireland outside of its official games structures. It aims to support GAA clubs and communities to achieve health and wellbeing goals that also reflect the national policy agenda for sport, physical activity, mental health and preventative health.
Speaking at the launch of the Healthy Club Project; St. Mary’s Healthy Club Officer Audrey Mahadevaiah said: “Through our involvement in this initiative St. Mary’s is seeking to make our club as healthy as possible, recognising health and well-being as a core value of the club. We had great engagement through our recent survey of all members and a huge thanks to all who contributed ideas on where to focus the project. We are currently assembling a Healthy Club project team and would welcome any members interested in getting involved. We will be putting in place an action plan to embed the project across our club.”
