A game for the ages, the best ever performance by a Tipperary team are just some of the superlatives used following the epic encounter witnessed in Nowlan Park where the Tipperary Minors claimed a 22nd national title over old foes Kilkenny in a pulsating encounter.

The game started tentatively but exploded into action with sending's off, fortuitous goals, breathtaking skill, extra time and most of all, buckets of heart and effort from both sides ending in a famous win for the Premier County.

Our club had a huge involvement on the day and indeed throughout a sparkling campaign. Brendan Ferris, a coach with our U10 camogie team is selector with the team while David McSweeney and Aaron Cagney form part of the team.

David, through injury and illness has had limited chances but his influence amongst the group has been lauded by James Woodlock and his management team. Aaron has played in every game throughout, coming on to score and influence games on the scoreboard and general play.

Two years ago, Tadhg Sheehan collected a medal in the same venue after a titanic battle, and now the club has added another two natinal medals to our collection in similar style.

Club Members celebrate the win.

Thanks to Barbara, Tom, John and the crew for bringing the bus to the game ensuring the clubs youngsters were present to witness such an epic game, one which wont be forgotten for a many a year.

Congratulations to Aaron, David, Brendan and the entire Tipperary Minor team on a momentous victory.
