A whirlwind game against Moyne Templetouhy was witnessed in Duneske, Cahir by a large Mary's contingent in the U12 County Final on Friday last.

In a game of two halves, due to a strong wind, both sides gave everything in a ding dong battle with skill and endeavour to the fore. Our girls played with the aid of the breeze in the first half and took a commanding 2-01 to 0-00 lead into the halftime break but were braced for a Moyne fightback in the games second period and this proved to be the case as the Templetouhy girls came back into it.

However, a stout rearguard action and super team spirit amongst the whole group ensured the Mary's girls ran out deserved winners by 2-02 to 1-01 to great scenes of jubilation.  

Well done to the girls and their mentors, we are all proud of your efforts, onwards and upwards!
