St Mary's were delighted to host our first inter schools blitz in recent weeks where students from St Mary's CBS, Gaelscoil Cluain Meala and the Presentation competed for our inaugural Corn an Uachtarán.
There was some great skill on display as nearly 60 hurlers enjoyed two days of top class competition. In the end the Wexford team won out and were presented with the cup by our club president Seamus Leahy.
A big thank you to our juvenile chairperson Philip Hennessy and Ross Peters for organising the competition, with back up from Highschool transition year who proved effective referees and managers.
To all the work currently going on in the schools we appreciate this effort in promoting the game and thank you for your continued support.
The girls will take to the field in early June where they will have compete also with interest high and another great day in store.
Finally a big thank you to the Leahy family who sponsored the cups for the day and we hope that this will become a feature in the schools programme going forward in years to come!
