With storms every weekend since god knows when, it has proven extremely difficult to get games started. However this changed on Saturday last with Feile finally getting underway.
Our A team beat Ballingarry in a pulsating contest. We put in a storming second half to come back from 6 PTS down to win by 7.
Though down by 6 PTS down at HT, we dominated possession in the second half but found it difficult to breech a resolute Ballingarry defence.
After some relentless pressure pressure our first goal came with five minutes left to put us three up. After that we added some fine scores to see out the game. Both teams played some fantastic hurling in very trying conditions with a strong wind making it very difficult for both teams. The final score was. St. Mary's 2-9 Ballingarry 1-5
In the C competition we beat Mullinahone. Again the weather made it very difficult for both sides. Despite playing against a strong wind in the first half we dominated proceedings and led by a PT at HT.
In the second half we continued to dominate and ran out worthy winners as the weather deteriorated. Well done to both sides for serving up an excellent game in dreadful conditions. Final score was St. Mary's 2-5 Mullinahone 0-4
Next up we have Swan in the A grade and in the C grade we play Ballylooby Castlegrace.
