The club are shocked and saddened to learn of the death of former player and mentor Tony Cronin this week.
Tony was a key member of our teams during our most successful period in the 1980s, including playing corner back for our only south senior hurling final victory to date in 1981. After this momentous day he gave great service to the jersey for many more years and whilst he was renowned as a a tough opponent on the field, Tony was a gent off it.
After finishing playing Tony continued to offer his services to the club as a mentor on various teams and was also a friendly and helpful face for many years in Chadwick's.
To his wife Deirdre, daughters Amy and Aisling and wider family and friends we extend our deepest condolences.
