Thats a wrap for another year with a hugely successful day at our 12th Annual Frank Maher Tournament.
This year saw our U10 camogie side take part for the first time and what an impact the girls made with fantastic performances throughout the day culminating in a a final appearance where the girls claimed the spoils amid great scenes in the Sportsfield.
Elsewhere, our two boys teams competed very well with scores, skill and no little effort on display from the youngsters. A bright future lies ahead for these boys.
The tournament has evolved over the years into the flagship event within the club and takes a lot of planning, preparation and huge efforts from a lot of people behind the scenes and on the day itself. Each year over 300 kids descend to our grounds along with their clubmates and parents and have to be fed, watered and welcomed in true Clonmel style and this year was no different.
Our thanks go to the catering crew led by Audrey, Emma, and Rachel along with the rest of the gang, the tireless Andy Griffin who had the pitches setup, our referees and umpires for their time and efforts, our car parking team, scoreboard keepers, lotto sellers and lastly the Maher Family for their continuous support of this great event.
